Epcot’s Norway Pavilion Update!!! – Many have been waiting patiently for more word about Epcot’s Norway Pavilion attraction. Maelstrom, a favorited boat ride attraction closed its doors in October 2014 to begin renovation to become Frozen Ever After (opening Spring 2016). Details have been released…read below in the comments for attraction information!

The boats in the new attraction will use the same path that the Maelstrom boats used, but the entire story of the ride has changed.

Guests will visit the “Winter In Summer” Festival that takes place in Arendelle.

The attraction queue will be set in Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post. You will be able to hear Oaken call “yoo-hoo”!

Olaf and Sven will begin the ride as they are preparing things for the festival. You will meet Grandpappy Troll in Troll Valley as he tells the story of how Anna meets Kristof.

You will hear Olaf singing while ice skating along side Anna, Kristof and Sven.

The centerpiece of the ride will be Elsa singing “Let It Go” from the balcony of her ice palace while simulated snow will fly around the room.

The ride will also feature Marshmallo, as well as the Snowgies from the Frozen Fever short.

The final scene has fireworks and a goodbye from all of the characters.

The Royal Sommerhus has been added as a meet and greet for Anna and Elsa and is based on an actual historic log cabin in Norway.

As much as I loved Maelstrom, and I was pretty sad to see it go….as time has passed I am getting a little excited about something new in the World Showcase. What about you? What are your thoughts on the upcoming Frozen attraction in the Norway Pavilion? Tell me what you think in the comments below!
